Welcome the Orphans Hope Project!

Thank you for taking time to learn more about the work that I do at Hogar Miguel Magone, Guatemala.

My name is Anna Lindgren and I run the UK side of Orphans Hope Project. The main aim of Orphans Hope is to provide volunteers, raise funds and support Hogar Miguel Magone in Guatemala -a home for children between 5 and 15 who are for one reason or another not able to live at home.

The kids from the Hogar are orphaned, abandoned, or from families too poor to keep them. Some children are aslo there for their own protection from gangs or sometimes even their own family members.

At Hogar Miguel Magone in the hills above Ciudad De Guatemala, the children are cared for in a safe environment away from the perils of the poverty and corruption that surrounds them. Founded by the amazing Karen Rodas who started taking children in to her own home many years ago Hogar Miguel Magone now allows its resident children as well as the local children to go to school, get medical care and psychological support.

We act as contacts here in the US and UK for potential volunteers and offer advice, information and coaching prior to visits.

Many people have volunteered at the home over the years and we would all like to encourage you to follow in our footsteps! Volunteering often turns out to be a uniquely rewarding and life changing experience.
