VOLUNTEER TRIP JANUARY 2010

Hi,

Planning the next trip to Guatemala in Jan 2010 with my mother and her good friend Ingrid.

We will be back with more updates and requests as the date approaches. At present we are busy fundraising and making sure we can make the most of our next volunteering trip.

Soon again,

Anna

BIG THANK YOU TO LAUREN IN THE US WHO IS COLLECTING SHOES AND UNDERWEAR FOR ALL THE BOYS AND GIRLS AT THE HOGAR AS I WRITE!

Thank You to the Guatemalan Embassy in London and ACAS (Anglo-Central American Society) UK for your donations earlier this year. Wood work machines to teach crafts and material for the Hogar was bought with the money donated by the organisation. This opportunity arose following a talk I held at the Embassy in 2008.

FUNDRAISING SUCCESS !!!!!!!!!!

Hello..... it's Amanda here. Myself and my friend Judy are heading back to Guatemala in September and we've been collecting funds for the kids via car boot sales, fetes and donations. The money we make will go towards school fees, new school uniforms and hopefully a trip to the pictures with popcorn and fizzy drinks as a special treat!

WE HAVE MANAGED TO RAISE £480

A BIG THANK YOU GOES TO ALL THOSE WHO HELPED WITH DONATIONS AND GIFTS:

Sally Trill, Alison Morris, Mum and Dad!!!, Stephanie Peate, Sarah Mossop, Barry and Linda, Nick's Mum and All Judy's work colleagues

And to Elliott, Sebastian and Philippe for their help with the stall and leaflet distribution at Coggeshall Carnival.

This is Judy working hard on our little fundraising stall at Coggeshall Village Carnival this weekend - 21 July 2007. We had an old fashioned Tombola and we were selling bowls of Nachos. We managed to raise £75 in two hours!!!
